5 songs

I've just been tagged by my buddy Indie Rocker (from Italy) about my 5 favorite songs.

1) The Rolling Stones : Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker) : I love the intro and the guitar part played by Keith Richards. The whole song has a tough 70's sound and I also love the horn section. From my point of view, it's one of the Rolling Stone's song in which the influence of Black American music is at its peak.

2) Townes Van Zandt : Mr Gold and Mr Mud : played on a 12 string guitar with only four chords but a great picking style. I also love the lyrics.

3) Steve Earle : The Devil's Right Hand : even Cash used to say it was one of the best song ever written. Love the line "Got a miner cheatin' and I shoot the dog down". Friendliness, you know.

4) Neil Young : Like a Hurricane : no need to explain anything for that one. You don't need that much notes to have a moving guitar solo.

5) Johnny Cash : Give my love to rose. Very intense song. Few chords. Slow beat. I really do like the lyrics. They encapsulate all the themes of country music : railroad tracks, betrayals, God, death, prison, love... Hell, yeah.
